The administrators of Freedom Co-op have requested that I keep the deliverables available only through request.
If you would like to see what I can do for your educational organization's yearbook photos, send an email to hello@phorosmedia.com and we can send you some example images!
Overview
Freedom co-op is a small, family-run educational organization aimed at providing homeschool children in the Snohomish County area with classes through out he school year. Since the attending students are exclusively homeschooled, there's one thing every student and parent has to miss out on: yearbook. Freedom said, "not our kids!" and brought us on to shoot headshots and class photos.
Solution
We came in during a class day, and brought in classes one-by one. We did two separate shoots; whole-classes, and individual headshots — since they required different lighting setups. This meant each class could anticipate two windows in their day and could adjust schedules accordingly, even when certain classes didn't know exactly when they would be called. Class shots were max. 5 minutes each, and getting through an entire group's portraits was about 10-15 minutes.
We chose the main auditorium as the space for the photos, since it had a nice wooden backdrop. Stage equipment — including instruments, instrument stands, and cables — were either moved or worked around, ensuring we left the place neat as we found it. We were able to quickly set up before morning chapel and tear down before their closing session, which meant we were ready to go as soon as the day kicked off.
